Cop arrested for beating daughter.

Call a cop a hero for DOING THEIR JOB no one bats an eye.

Expose one for committing a crime and everyone looses their minds.

Get a grip, and stop pulling crap out of your hind parts and slinging it like an ape....the fact is police are supposed to protect and serve, enforce laws and investigate crimes...someone who can not control his temper or keep himself from committing crimes has absolutely no place on ANY enforcement gig...go be loss prevention at Macys and stop putting the public at risk. The fact is regardless of how many times you post videos of police doing what they are hired, trained, and paid to do does not make a single incident okay.

If the punishment (legal) for law enforcement was anywhere near equal to what it is for citizens cops would not be doing half the heinous crap that gets posted here, and until law enforcement officers are not held on a pedestal this will continue to be a problem as it has been for years and years in our society.

"held on a pedestal"???????!!!!!!!!!
Are you ****ing kidding me???!!!! Cops are vilified on a daily basis for no reason other than wearing the uniform. Even on these forums they are casually referred to as "Pigs". 99.999% of them are on the job for the right reasons. Honor, the drive to serve their community and a rescuer mentality.

When a story like this comes out the focus is not on the SOB abusing his daughter, it's on the fact that the SOB is a Cop. It is clearly intended as an unjust condemnation of LE. It's the same thing as when the press and liberals condemn all gun owners because some nut bag shot up a school. As far as his CO covering for him, maybe if these things weren't used to attack all LE, they wouldn't feel the need to be so defensive when they find out about a bad one in their midst.

BTW, calling someone a hero for doing their job is perfectly appropriate. There are certain jobs that are inherently heroic. Firefighters, Military and LE all qualify. The very fact that they have chosen one of these professions indicates some level of heroism in most of them.

Wouldn't you consider a Secret Service Agent heroic for intentionally being shot to death to protect someone? But hey, it's their job, so I guess it doesn't count.

Yep. Why else would these haters always start their thread swith COP X? They only want to accomoplish one thing. Spread their hate of cops. Period.

Well, it's not like it is natural (as in instinct of self preservation) to run AWAY from danger or anything...er, wait... Overcoming your own natural instincts for survival in order to help total strangers in their time of need qualifies as HERO, whether it's your job or not. But haters can't stand thay thought. Makes them squirm. Don't you sometimes wonder what motivates someone to be so petty? I wonder if it's some feeling that their own manhood is cheapened by comparison(even if it's only THEM making the comparison) with cops, soldiers, firefighter, etc. It's like, knowinmg that there are people out there acting with courage and honor makes them feel small and they can only fight back by diminishing those they envy.

Quite a few years ago I read a management book about making yourself bigger. There are two ways to do it. Either grow to become bigger or tear down those who are bigger so you don't appear so small in comparison. A lot of the latter going on around here.

Absolutely correct!!!!!!

Perhaps they have tested their courage and failed. I know mine is sufficient from previous experience and actually investigated a job in LE when I was younger, but decided against it. After getting to know several LEOs, it became clear that I did not have a different kind of courage needed for the job. The courage to deal with the darkest and most depressing portions of our society on a day to day basis was beyond me. (This is why so many cops eat their guns.) I knew there would be no way I would want to do this long term. My respect for those that do grew even more.

Yeah, I couldn't do the job. I'd run across one too many of these whiney haters and shove a nightstick where the sun don't shine. My fear is of the "When I kill this POS I'm going to go to jail" kind. I'm trying to make it through my life without a stint in the big house.

Absolute horse**** but this is to be expected from the drones.

And this is exactly the type of response you would expect from one of those small people, filled with envy and fear. LOL! "Methinks the lady doth protest too much."

Not an unexpected response. LMAO!

And you're original comment is an emotional comment looking for an emotional response. The kind I expect from liberals. Hmmmm.

Gimme a break. Stand on your soapbox and scream will ya about your beloved LE's. I'm sick of it.

KEEP POSTING OP. The fact is that some jobs require a person to act accordingly, when people don't, they should be exposed and prosecuted. People should talk about it and understand people are people. Too many times cops and their brothers are not exposed until it's a major issue or crime. Cops and their brothers are not exposed because they stick up for each other and get a pass for wearing the uniform, **** em. An elected official is condemned daily for their decisions and so should cops for that matter. Their no better than me or you, they took the job because it's a job. Act accordingly, your a public servant in the public eye. I pay your salary so shut up, do your job, don't stick your chest out, and serve the community.

Last cop I made aware I was carrying a firearm and I have a permit, asked me "is it loaded", which I replied is yours loaded sir. Now we have attitude I've got to listen to because he's an authority on everything and I'm an idiot. He's got a high school diploma and I have a bachelors and an MBA and MPA. Look up the acronyms if you don't know the degree. Gimme a break and **** off. Last time I make a cop aware in GA. My response when I'm getting the lecture for anything now is, "Am I being detained. No, see ya and waste someone else time."

I served in the military and did so to get the hell out of my hometown. It did help me in a whole lot of ways though, but I'm not special nor is a cop for that matter.

I won't acknowledge that stupid ignorant statement about guns and banning them. Guns cannot kill or hurt without being used as a weapon. Last I heard a gun doesn't cause a crime but the individual using it as a weapon, you dumb ass. A cop on the other hand does act and will act on their own. When it's contrary to the public good, they should be exposed, and prosecuted accordingly for ANY infraction. Actually the more the public exposes this behavior, the more there is a fear of being exposed, therefore the bad behavior is held in check.

What do I know, I'm just a tax paying, God fearing, loving Father, that follows the law. I digress.

You're wasting your time. They're drunk on cop spunk.

See. That's an emotional response.
