Who has used a gator processor in Georgia this year or last year? How much do they charge? Closest one I know of to Eufala is in Camilla. I heard that the cost is 2.50 a lb. Is that for the weight of the gator or the weight of the processed meat? Did my own last time. Took two of us 8 hours,but it came out ok. Gave the hide away.

Threw away bill folds, belts, cowboy boots, etc., that is a valuable part of the gator besides the meat...
Took 2 of us 3 hours to process my 12 footer,took another 3 hours 2 days later to bag and wrap the meat myself.Hide will be belts in the future.Its REAL expensive to get a hide tanned
Got mine 5 years ago. Nobody was buying hides. I kept the meat but was not willing to foot the bill for tanning . Gave hide to someone who wanted to try tanning it themselves.
Very expensive to tan. The cost of that is offset somewhat by not having to pay a processing fee.
I had/have the funds,just not worth it to me to get a hide tanned. I have a garage wall full of nice deer racks,but I`ve never mounted but 4 or 5.
