Just sold one for $300......about what they went for new...

I saw one here recently for $500. At some level I get it. If someone is willing to pay for one, they don't want to have it confiscated later on. That is especially true when the government is exempt from that part of the Constitution that says the government has to pay for property they seize when it was legally owned. And there is the prohibition on ex post facto laws. But, it is what it is. So, you pay what it's worth to you.

The flip side is that someone legally owns one and there are ALWAYS rats at the range. Someone can collect your info while you're there and pass it on to the feds or even locals for future opportunities. Maybe some of these posters are right and I will start seeing those things in the future.

These proposed laws and or laws are as much about disruption deconstruction and destruction of the industry businesses and people that support civilian owned firearms and self defense as they are about health or individual rights. If you look carefully at the way an industry is regulated and liability is accrued you will be able to follow the money. Though responsible for far more deaths most soft drink - fast food - automobile manufacturers - drug dealers and pharmaceutical companies have been supported by regulation and relieved of liability - firearms industries not so much
