Shoot... Form 1 is taking 1 to 4 weeks.

A SBR, SBS, or an AOW made by you can be yours in about 4-6 weeks with a form 1. Total of stamp wait time and the time it takes you to make it .
You have to fill out a form 1 to make an AOW, $200. BUT a form 4 transfer of an AOW is only $5. Granted it's quicker, but it's $195 more
Sooner you send in forms, the sooner they will comeback to you.
I only have 3 stamps and all 3 have been 8~10mo wait. I don't mind the wait, I want the real stamp on paper-form. Also, the wait affords me time to buy related stuff like threaded barrels and such.
if I was still in GA that AOW would be mine.....the added form 3 wait time sucks

That was my excuse. You can't use that excuse because its not valid. If you buy it, you have to wait 6-8 months. If you don't buy it, you wait till you die. So I decided to buy and wait. Might as well because I will want it later which means I would have to wait later when I could wait now.
