Working in the wooded area of the backyard a couple days ago clearing out some brush. I haven't had it this bad since I was a kid. Both wrist and forearms are covered and the backs of my ankles. Ahhhhh.......this stuff is driving me nuts! Mommy!!

A good buddy that works in the turf industry sent a text earlier saying that acne medicine like Clearasil will it out fast. I'll be at Kroger picking some up by 9:00am.

My son has a severe case of it while he is in Basic Training at Ft. Jackson. It has spread EVERYWHERE. They have him on steroid shots and benedryl.

It won't help now but after I had a really bad case of it a few years back I learned to shower with dish soap after any possible contact. The irritating agent is an oil that sticks to your skin. My understanding is that if you remove it from your skin within an hour or so it won't affect you. Since dish soap is designed to wash away oils it is very effective.

I used it last night after clearing out an area with poison ivy and have no signs of exposure.
