dang... 3 of my friends are having a divorce...

Still looking for the right one. Although the job description has evolved somewhat as I grow older.

When I was 18-21 the only requirements were that she be...

1. Hot
2. All of the above

At 22 I realized that I could improve my chances of not having to bury someone in the woods if I revised the list to include

1. Hot
2. SINGLE

And then at 23 I found out that I could also improve my chances of not jumping off a bridge if I made it...

1. Hot
2. Single
3. INTELLIGENT

Somehow at 25 the list has spiraled out of control and the requirements have gotten a lot more demanding...

1. Hot
2. Single
3. Intelligent
4. Educated
5. Cute
6. Pretty
7. NO KIDS
8. Athletic (I hit the gym 5 days a week to look good for her, she better do the same)
9. Independent (able to take care of herself)
10. Hot

The right one may be hard to find but once I find her I don't intend on ever looking at anyone else again. (and damn Im one shallow SOB now that I read my list again!)

Divorce happens... Never been married, but I anticipate at least one divorce. I realize that I can be hard to get along with at times, so I figure I'm being realistic. Plus, the only reason I care to get married is to have a bunch of kids to pass my guns onto.

Three marriages for a grand total of 13 years. Living together as common law add another 10+. Number one was her fault and thought that way after number two went south. But the realization after number 3, well its gotta be ME! I am fine with that! My 82 year old mother told me son just move em in, don`t marry anymore of them, Moms know best!

my grandfather has been married to my grandmother for 63 years and counting, the key is tolerance he puts up with all her crap(now that she has dementia it is particularity hard). if you stay tolerant and can accept your partners quirks, and kepe a hobby to give you time away form your spouse sometimes then it will last.

some folks get divorced because of finances, last time i saw my dad a few months back he said "if i am still married to your stepmother next year it'll be a miracle" an he is in a hole so deep that he'll never dig himself out without a caterpillar backhoe loader financially

People go into marriage these days with too many "ifs"...If we make it...If it works out...If, If, If...If you are using the word "if" on a regular basis while discussing your future prospects of making it, then your marriage will always be iffy...That is why I am 39 and still single. I am engaged and have been for 1.5 years. We have been together for 3 years. We don't use the word "if"...My parents have never used it and neither will I...They have been together for 45 years...My fiance's parents have been together for 42 years.

I would rather stay single forever than to marry and divorce.
