Dawson Forest nuclear reactor site.

Don't go messing around in those old facilities. They were "sealed off" for a reason. When a government spends that kind of money to build that much infrastructure. They don't usually simply abandon it and seal it off without a "really good reason". Nuclear radiation/particles or eradiated material can be deadly for as many as 5000 years or more.
Sealed off hordes of radioactive zombies.

LOL.. Yeah man I wouldn't be a bit surprised if there were not some never before seen life forms running around in those tunnels.

"Yes . Sir! We got her all cleaned out and sealed up. Sir there ain't nothin left down there but the spiders and roaches." The Commander looks down at the ground and pauses for a second......then says "oh ****."

So where can you and can't you go? I understand there is really only one building left, the hot cell building, and it's fenced in. Also the tunnels are underground and sealed off. But as far as roads and walking around, it's a wma now so you can walk anywhere right other than the fenced areas. And what roads can you drive on around there, saw son forest, shoal creek?

Answer this: for those of you who have been out there, tell me the place does not have a strange feeling about it.
Even if you dont think about its history, there is an odd feeling out there.
I have taken others out there , and without saying a word , they will make some comment obout the place dont feel right.
I have hunted all my life and have hunted all up and down the east coast in some strange woods that would not shock if BIGFOOT steped out on you.
But dawson forest is different, if you atleast drive down to the old railroad bridge they took out, get out and just be quiet, its almost like you get the feeling(call me the mayor of crazy town) that the place is watching you. Im not talking ghost here but it is very odd feeling.

Yes It does......

You can drive all over the area. If you come in from Sweetwater you will have to ford Shoal Creek to get around to the main parking area. If you like to hike, come in through west gate and you can get down to where the Etowah and Amicalola Rivers come together (thick Zombie area).

Back in the early 90's my brother and a couple of his friends took an inflatable raft down and went back through some of the underground halls. He said there were stairwells going down as far as you could see. I'd love to go see it but the entrance they went through has long been covered. I've explored a little up there, it fascinating.

He had any medical issues since he did it?

That would bring up my next question. Does anyone know if radioactive particles sink or float?
