Dawsonville gun has a crate of mosin's in cosmoline

I have a theory.

So Mosin was a gateway drug of sort for many, many, many folks who were young when they first bought one.

Now these "youngsters" have grown up, got better jobs, make better money, and VOILA!

They reckon back to the days of their youth and want to complete their collection.

I'd say it was genius if anyone was behind this.

:spy:

When I said this, the next person said they will be making 54r for years to come.

Well, technically they did, and still do, it's just that politics interfere with the ammo importation and then the folks that make it want an arm and a leg for it. Like .308 or .30-06.

My point is that if you can buy an old bolt action rifle for $99 and 440 rds for $50 then, duh, no brainer.

Triple/quadruple those prices and unless you are a "collector" of sorts, that dog ain't gonna hunt....

I agree. Any allure is gone when the cheap ammo is gone. I made sure to have enough to make the rifle purchase worth it.
