WASHINGTON (AP) — The Drug Enforcement Administration abandoned an internal proposal to use surveillance cameras for photographing vehicle license plates near gun shows in the United States to investigate gun-trafficking, the agency's chief said Wednesday.

DEA Administrator Michelle Leonhart said in a statement that the proposal memorialized in an employee's email was only a suggestion, never authorized by her agency and never put into action. The AP also learned that the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives did not authorize or approve the license plate surveillance plan.

Of course dear....

I bet it is still going on.

What you don't believe her.... Blasphemy! Blasphemer!

Next they will make it public that they are not creating a data base of all recorded gun permit holders and Maryland is not the first state tested with the data base and out of state permit holders are not pulled over and not searched for no other reason than having a permit in another state.....

Thankfully that's not occurring..... As it would be obviously unconstitutional/unlawful on several levels.

The DEA is part of the intelligence community and their Special Operations Division is neck deep in what were for most of this countries existence illegal 4th Amendment violations. You can bet your ass it's still going on.
