If I drive up on a snake, whether venomous or not on the road that has been run over. Can I take that snake and tan its hide? I generally dont go around killing snakes, but I would like to use its hide thats going to waste away. Ive passed several dead large snakes this year that had a good usable hide. If I got caught with a non venemous snake or even just the hide is that going to be an issue? I am not in the business of selling them just wall art/hat band type stuff.

Lots of snakes in the road around here according to signs...
I know it's against the law to tan the hide of these little hellions that run wild in the restaurants. Their parents def don't! But I'm not sure about the sneaks in the road.
I don’t think there is a law against picking up road kill. But to be safe take a pic of it in the road.
One time the car in front of me hit a turkey hen, it wasn’t turkey season and it was a hen. They kept goin I had fresh turkey for supper.
I wanna go ahead and place an order for a corn snake belt and rat snake hat band.
