dehumidifier for safe?

You said you intended to keep it in your basement. You didn't say whether it is a finished basement or not. I wouldn't want to keep guns is an area without conditioned air. Although keeping a safe on a concrete basement floor is an ideas spot for preventing/minimizing fire damage, it is a terrible spot for dampness and rust. You might at least consider a dehumidifier in the basement in addition to treating the space inside the safe itself.

Good advice. A dehumidifier will really help. All if our walkin vaults get a dehumidifier

Put a piece of plywood under it to keep it off the concrete.
I bet there is a hole in the back for an electrical cord.
Golden rod is the only way to go.

yes it will be stayin in the basement and it is unfinished dont truck the floors in a builder grade house but ill look into a golden rod or a rechargeable one
