They made a huge stink in the media about pulling all AR-style guns from their stores after Newtown. They almost bankrupted Troy Defense, who had invested millions to become their 'house brand'. They also stiffed thousands of customers who had bought Troy rifles on a 'Black Friday' sale, holding on to their pre-order money for a month or more until they finally cancelled their orders.
Then, when the 'gun panic' happened and they had no inventory to sell at a huge markup, they moved all the ARs they had to their new 'Field and Stream" stores so they wouldn't be caught in a lie.
Of course they were, so they ended up putting all the guns back into regular stores as well, mainly because there were so few F&S stores open that they couldn't cash-in with such a limited distribution network.
All in all, probably one of the more hypocritical episodes of the recent 'gun-ban panic'.
