Did a “Shoot a 50BMG” experience

I thought I’d share this here because I don’t have many friends that really appreciate or understand my gun-associated hobbies. It was a nice little break from routine and I recommend the experience if you have never shot a .50-cal before. The first round gave me the shakes from the blowback force (and my nerves) — I wasn’t expecting that — but it was fun times after that!

I have never shot a 50 myself, but would imagine shooting one indoors would be insane!

Yes, it was powerful for sure. They had a suppressor on it, but it was still incredibly powerful. I was not expecting to get the shakes from it. One of the instructors told me they shot it without a suppressor one time and it blew all of the lights in the room.

Try full auto in a real firefight. It'll really get your blood pumping. It's a hoot. BTW grats on popping your 50BMG cherry.
