XDM has better trigger and sights. Barrel is said to be higher quality. Never had any issues with my XD in .40, but the XDM 5.25 is trying hard to become my favorite non 1911 pistol.

yep, I share your xdm appreciation, traded my 9 4.5 into a 9 5.25, love it. Congrats, a nice pair you have!
I recently found these cool vinyl stickers for mine, they add just a touch of personalization for me.

Although I'm not a fan of the xd line for personal reasons, I will admit the ones I've owned And shot have been great pistols. Springfield really hooks you up with goodies as well. My only complaint about the actual pistol is the grip safety. Great pistols,

They began with the HS 2000, then Springfield picked them up and only great things occurred. I took the plunge for 2013 and they make a really fine pistol in the XDM series.
