Yep, it's not the pistol itself. It's all the cut away stuff. I understand why it's there, to dissipate heat. It's also a place to catch all kinds of debris

I have a regular 6". It's shoots better in double action than single action, I know weird. But the double action is so smooth it's easier to shoot. I told one of the guys on the range that he thought I was nuts. Then he shoot it and agreed. While everyone was paying stooopid money on Pythons a few years back I bought a Korth for the same money. Pythons are nice, but in the 70s they were prone to getting out of time with continued magnum round usage. To me Python sights suck. JMHO. If you are going to spend the money on an old Python to me it was better to spend that coin on a Korth.
