Diesel exhaust fluid

What is this DEF you speak of???

Off road Diesel engines under 75hp were exempt from the standard last I checked but it may have changed now. The whole system is a costly pain from clogged DEF injectors or filters to particulate filters that missed a regen so they limp down until you can do a timely parked regen like a cat burning off on a gas engine. The whole EGR and DEF emissions systems have done nothing but kill power in diesels and make them run 200 degrees or better when they’re working.

Ever since def required it has had lots of effects. A good example is wood chippers. Companies quit making the diesel ones and switched to gas to avoid the extra cost associated with the def system. Unfortunately, for some reason, the gas woodchippers are crap. They end up needing so much maintenance that they aren't even worth buying anymore. After a lot of research that led me to that conclusion I decided not to buy and just rent one when I need it.

I haven’t heard or seen any problems with DEF.
its all BS. Choke the motor down with restrictive exhaust and the wash the filters out with bull piss. Seems legit right?
BTW, Cali is outlawing DEF
