You don’t need a lawyer, you need a detective.
Cuz. It’s gonna take ALOT of evidence w pictures and video of her being drunk at the clubs and not coming home and phone text and social media posts and ?
History of arrests and drug use. And. …to prove there is a reason the kid should not be w the Mother.
Even then? No. Probably not gonna happen.

I have seen a lot of good dads lose their kids because of the LACK of evidence presented to the judge.

You need to get all the evidence you can.

Wow. Nothing but doom/gloom here.
It's possible to get custody if the system works correctly. Lawyers ain't cheap, and they're all snakes.........keep that in mind.
However, many years ago, I got custody of my youngest daughter through the court. Mine was the better/more stable home, and the judge saw that. I just wanted full custody, but ended up getting custody and was awarded child support from my ex-wife. That chapped her butt for sure!
This was in Henry county, long about 2014 or so.

If the child is 14 or older they can pick who they want to live with. My son wanted to live with me once he turned 14. I called his mom and “asked” if that was good for her. Like bell she said, I’ll see you in court. I got full custody and $80 a month child support, even though I told the judge I didn’t’ want her money. The ONLY people that win in divorce or custody battles are the lawyers.

I know a good one if you haven’t already found one. But…a bit of advice: Go to every local attorney you can think of and get your “free consultation”. The reason for this is that once they speak to you about your case, they will be unable to represent your other half because of conflict of interest. 👍
