Do you agree with the court?? Open Carry

Not on gun rights, not at this time no I can't. But, all it takes is one incident to screw things up. No need to poke the angry bear, that's just dumb.

Well, that's exactly my point. Gun rights have only expanded, both in Georgia and across the nation. Some of it is due to groups like Georgia Carry, but some of it due to some people being willing to push the limits, take on laws they feel are unConstitutional or, like this guy, see how far our rights really do reach...it's nice to see that we have a right to XYZ on paper, but until someone actually does it, it's only theoretical.

I do agree on the California part though and it seems Oregon isn't too far behind of the facts above are all there.

Yeah, it's a shame that all the nice places to live are full of dumbasses, lol. At least we still have Florida, I guess...

Gun rights, guns, ammo and all the stuff all of us enjoy are in the sights of the politicians. The more people push the limits instead of using the good sense God gave them, that just gives the politicians more ammo to try nd take away the things we love.

Just look at it objectively...how many mass shootings have we had? People using scary black rifles and HIGH CAPACITY MAGAZINES!!!!! Or whatever. There's a bunch of talk, the politicians have to pay their lip service to that issue...but then what happens? Nothing. Because right now, support for gun rights is at an all time high in this country.

Look at what Dianne Feinstein had to say about it:
http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/07/sen-feinstein-bad-time-to-press-gun-control/

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, one of more outspoken gun-control advocates in Congress, said today that both Mitt Romney and President Obama should give the gun control issue a lot of “consideration,” but said now is a “bad time” to press the issue politically.

They know not to touch our guns right now.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/150341/record-low-favor-handgun-ban.aspx

A record-low 26% of Americans favor a legal ban on the possession of handguns in the United States other than by police and other authorized people. When Gallup first asked Americans this question in 1959, 60% favored banning handguns. But since 1975, the majority of Americans have opposed such a measure, with opposition around 70% in recent years.

Lol, look at the one on the left...for whatever reason, they posted it as a single image.

Now realistically do I think the government will ever take away the 2nd amendment rights? No, it would be a civil war. Do I think they will start making things hard on us, yes I'd people keep doing stupid stuff.

I think they want to. I also think they know better.

dunk if you feel like reading the full Dismissal let me know and I'll PM it to you.

Also if anyone else feels they can understand a full courts decision and reasoning I can get the text to a few of you.

Dunkel, it would seem that for some Heller and McDonald were suffering from HUA syndrome to actually think that the second amendment actually meant that they had the right to actually keep and bear arms and they should not have "PUSHED" it.

morons who go looking for trouble to prove they are smarter than the law shouldn't be surprised when they find it......the court will always take the side of officer protection

Yep, you go looking for trouble, you will usually find it.

He wasn't detained much longer than some traffic stops. Wasn't put in handcuffs, wasn't put in the back of the car, was apparently able to talk to passers by, and the cops had sense enough to get in touch with a superior who knew the law.

Actually the law may have been violated by him putting an orange tip on a real gun. Only toy guns are supposed to have those.
