-1 ALWAYS on hi-cap rifle mags. Pistols mags get full capacity then chamber the top round.

I've watched way too many Joes have problems from cramming their mags to full capacity. Mags that dont seat and then fall out at bad times and weapons that wont feed the first round because of binding caused by the pressure of too many rounds in the mag.

Exactly!

Depends on the mag. If there is still some room to compress the rounds after the mag is maxed out I load to max. If it's tight I load one less. No problems with reloads either way.

I usually fill them until I can't get the pages with pictures apart any more. I suppose the pages with the articles could hold more, but really, who reads the articles.

-1 on my pistol mags and -2 or 3 in the AR and AK mags.
My reason being, as someone stated earlier, full capacity might bind the spring...and that would be bad.
