Do you think this can be repaired or should it be returned?

Just purchased this pistol off the forum and when I got home I noticed a small scuff on the grip. I’m not calling out the seller as he has been very generous in offering to take the gun back or give some cash back, as he said he didn’t even notice it as the gun sat in the case for 95% of its life.

I bought the gun more as a novelty and not for daily carry or use, so I’m trying to get the communities opinion on the chances it could be fixed or if I should just return it and search for another.

Your call. It may be possible the damage occurred after you purchased it and you just didn't know it. It looks to me it could be touched up, but there would still be a blemish. Looks like either way all parties will be happy in the end

Some would call it “character” marks.
Probably makes it worth more.

It’s custom and I have seen a very similar mark on another’s Trump Glock here in town

It's a personal call. I wouldn't worry about it personally, it's a glock, but again, my opinion. If it were a 5k nighthawk, Infinity, Vintage colt or the like, it would be a different story.

Looks like I’ll be keeping it for now, as the seller has decided to ignore my messages and turn back on is first stance to allow the return or to refund money since he confirmed the damage to be in his photos, but it seems interesting how the damage wasn’t shown on his ad.

Cool on him to offer to take it back, but it’s a used gun and I would never expect a seller to buy back a used gun for something I missed when looking it over.
