Does Anyone EVER take their limit of Deer?

Nope, but I eat plenty of it myself.. I know plenty of folks that would truly like some fresh meat, but I just can’t seem to help them all

I have never shot more than 9 since the limit was raised to 12.
My average per season is lower than that now.
I killed my limit a couple times back when the limit was 5 deer.
I rarely ever shoot a doe nowadays, since I leave the freezer filling up to my kids.

I let the does walk and most of the bucks too. Very seldom pull the trigger on one. Now hogs are a completely different matter.

Same here, I don't have the storage capacity for all the meat at the moment. But I let the bullets fly when I see any hog

We average killing 5 or 6 a year between the kids and myself. I have several places to hunt and one place in particular we absolutely need to kill more does. The body weights aren't there and we see 10 to 20 every sit. I'll kill a few extra this year but doubt I'll kill a limit. I process all my own and if we kill 10 to 12 deer that would turn into real work.

I have killed way more when I worked on a plantation and we did crop depredation permits but I don't count that as hunting.
