I prepped some cases today for a caliber that I haven’t loaded yet. These are 100 .32 S&W cases for my dad’s prewar revolvers, a few of which are over 100 years old. I have 95gr lead flat nose bullets for them. Who has good low pressure loads for them? I tend to use a lot of W231 and soft loads for his older pistols.

I loaded up some recently but seems I was using Red Dot. I have a set of .32 ACP dies and was mainly playing around to see how well it would function loading 32 SW Long.

Subscribed. I've been letting my daughter shoot an old .32 S&W that I just use primers and earplugs in. Not accurate at all, but she's learned the mechanics of a revolver. It'd be nice to reload some soft rounds.

I reload .32 S&W Long for mine and my daughters M30. 2.0gn of Bullseye or Trailboss make nice easy plinkers. Hodgon reloader data shows Trailboss, Universal, and Titegroup for 90gn pills.

I loaded him 200 .32 S&W Long a few months ago with 100gr lswc over 1.9gr of W231.

I load for an H&R Guardsman, that my Dad bought in the mid 60's. I shot Remington Factory 98 gr lead round nose, which was what he had it loaded with, and got an average of 747.7. So I set that as the max I wanted my reloads to give me. The barrel length is 4 inches.

100 gr LRNFP with 2.3 of Bullseye gives me and average of 695 and 5.3 AA#9, same bullet, gives me and average of 693. I use the Bullseye load simply because I like Bullseye and try to use it across the board. OAL is 1.245. I am happy with either load. I really liked 90 gr hollow based wad cutters, but finding them is like finding Unicorn horns.

As I am sure you know, always do your on checking of suggested reloads. Anyone can make a mistake or transpose numbers.

You don't need "low pressure" loads.

.32 S&W is a black powder load, and any published load will be within safe parameters, I have a good selection of late 19th century/early 20th century break actions, and shoot mostly factory loads now. I have a couple of S&W I frames that are tiny.

When I was reloading, I used Red Dot because it was my universal powder. I loaded a ton of .32 WC and used about 2 grains Red Dot, no problem.

I had a Ruger Single Six in .32 S&W, and it used to be legal for skewerals. and I took a ton of them with those wadcutters hyped up a bit.
