Does anyone shoot 450 Bushmaster?

I'm looking for something unique to shoot. Right now I am looking at a Ruger Scout mod. 6839 chambered in 450 bushmaster.

My question is this rifle overkill for most applications in Georgia?

Is the recoil bad?

Buddy has an AR chambered in that beast. Hogs, yotes, and deer.

It does sound off when fired, the recoil is less in the semi auto vs the bolt gun.

I like it, it's a good thumper round and busts some brush when needed on hogs. A couple of friends hunt with one, AR15.

I'm passing on getting one for a 45 Raptor AR10.

Yeah, on behalf of paper signs across the globe a 450 will put a hole in paper

It is not nearly the beast as it sounds like. It is not anywhere near a 45-70 or 450 Marlin, 444 Marlin. It should be a good brush gun. It is particularly useful in several states that have been traditionally shotgun only but just beginning to open up to straight walled cartridges for hunting deer.

450 bush shoots better than 450/70 look at the drop off between them .. 450 bush is straight out to 250 yards maybe lil more 45/70 drops a lot but in close range 45/70 is a beast

Gonna be kinda pricey for punching paper. Don’t let me ruin a good time though.

I'd like to have the Ruger No. 1 in 450, but have no practical need or use for it.
