I think that its far overpriced in many areas for a variety of reasons.
Undocumented (illegal) workers are more scarce driving price of labor up

In Newnan hosue prices are iditoic

Visited an over 55 community, wife and realtor met the in house realtor

What began as a 2400 sqft base plan

Housing market is growing stagnant. I was talking to a realtor earlier in the week who is seeing $100k discounts on $500-750k homes. Percentage wise that’s pretty substantial.
BUT…..if you lower the prime and jump start housing inflation will creep its ugly head back in. Yall remember the $50-60 (or more) per pc subflooring so……..🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
you do realize that "lowering the prime" has very little to do with home mortgage rates....right????

as an active real estate appraiser, I am not seeing circumstances like that.....discounts, lower list prices, BUT 100k discounts on 500k homes....that may be over blown

Because it’s not happening. I’ve been house searching and have yet to see a house 100k under fair market( move in ready)
