Draco, mini Draco...........tacos? I got a guy wanting to trade me a Century arms Draco and I know nothing about them. Would someone chime in with a value and points to look for or out for? I did a search but didn't find a lot of useful information. It actually looks like something easy to have an accident with but I am considering stacking one in the safe just to have one............ANY help, input, or OPINIONS are welcome and thank you all!

I am needing some kind of value for a reference, supposedly this is NIB...........

A year or so ago they could be found for $300-350, demand went up supply went down............they sell on here for $500-$600 for an non-bubba'ed tactifool version.

Why would it be easy to have an accident with? It's no more dangerous than any other firearm.

I'm no expert, but been looking at Dracos to buy as well. I'm seeing prices from around $600 to $900 on the upper end. The Centuries I have seen have been on the lower end of the prices.

Dunno, just something about that short barrel and the caliber I guess. I must confess I have never shot a rifle cartridge in a handgun, so that might be what is giving me some reservations. I wouldn't have any problem firing it, been trying new stuff for 50+ years)

classiccityfirearms had a post on this you can search for. apparently parts are scarce for these while demand is high. id say you cant go wrong if the trade is retail for retail.

I got a Draco on trade and I love it. I wasnt planning on being an AK lover, it just happened.

Safe? Sure, Loud? yes, Massive percussion? Yes, Kinda impractical? yup , hard to aim? yes.

Do I still love it? YES.

The Draco is as safe as any firearm to shoot if you are a safe shooter. It is fairly accurate depending on the skill of the shooter and with a sling added (You will need to buy a $20 dollar sling plate) you can increase your accuracy. The front muzzle threads are covered by a piece of metal tac welded and can be removed with a saw or dremel. I recommend changing the stock Romanian trigger to a Tapco G2 trigger ($20-25) if it has not already been done. The Romanian trigger tends to have trigger slap and is not as smooth as the Tapco. Changing an AK trigger is very easy. The Draco is a nice firearm. It has a large fireball but once you add a muzzle brake it can be diminished somewhat. I think they are worth no more then $550, but if you really want one then its worth whatever you can afford to pay/trade for it. I predict the value of them will begin to fall with the introduction of the IO Hellpup AK pistol and the Yugo PAP pistol on the market. Dracos have been going for $600-$900 recently but I see it balancing out at $600-700 soon.
