Driving while suspended

A friend of mine was booked for driving while suspended. He forgot to pay for a speeding ticket in TN and his license was suspended for FTA. He took care of the FTA and reinstated his license but still has to go to court for the driving while suspended (misdemeanor). I am hoping that the solicitor will give him leniency and reduce the charge to an infraction.
Any of you guys been through this?

They will hit you with a fine could be a lot worse.

If it doesn't get dropped he'll probably get a fine, and or time served most likely depends on the mood of the judge of that day. (Seriously)

Automatic suspension (for driving with a suspended license). 6 mos. suspension, $500 fine minimum. 2 days in jail. $200 reninstatement fee. Time to lawyer up.

Need to ask around, and see how agreeable the prosecutor is to reducing the charges.
