Is this 1911 worth this much or is the seller smoking something?

The serial numbers go to first Gen 1911 and would bring big money with Colt letters and multiple sources verification of authenticity and conditions.

I wouldn't give $5K without further review but I can see upwards of $50K plus if verification.

I am not convinced that's authentic. The fire blueing is too bright for the amount of wear on the high spots. I would need to examine it carefully with a good loupe to verify machining marks are period correct
