Ive had better luck with red lights as the green drowns out the animal as it illuminates everything green.....all the foliage lights up.
My buddy and I just last week verified this as I was looking at a raccoon that responded to a fox call.
I illuminated him with my red light and saw him and his eyes plain as day but when my buddy turned on his very similar green light it brightened everything up and drowned out the animal.
He couldn’t even find the coon.
