have a new to me No4 here.
So far from what I can see it seems to be a BSA code made in 1943. Stock is serialed to the gun but I’m assuming it’s a stock they serialed for an Arsenal refurbish. Any information on the various markings posted would be appreciated. It has a black paint finish that I understand nah be common for these rifles after a refurbish(suncronite?) I’m not sure if it’s been “touched up” later but it’s nice and black pretty much everywhere with the usual chips here and there that seem to have been painted over at one point. It’s just a shooter for me, but I’m always interested in the particulars of any rifle I own. Any info is appreciated.
