Height might be 8 feet. It is extremely dark but straight. You can see the light at the end to see if it's clear of debris. It drops about 10' from entrance to exit.

Not bad,you could be through it in a few seconds with the current.

It starts out fast and rough but midway is a slow current and ends with fast again. It takes 2-3 minutes to clear. I will go back in a couple of weeks, more prepared, and I will gopro with decent lights.

I have 2 kayaks and a canoe. You're more than welcome to experience it for yourself(anyone). If you decide not to partake, you can take the river route.
Edit* It takes me about 10 minutes to shake off the fear before I enter. It scares the heck outta me, I admit.

Built in 1888 and dubbed the "Birth Canal" it gave a gateway for Doctor Thomas in the area to reach lower settlements of people in a timely manner when they found themselves in a "Motherly" way.

Or it's just a drainage tunnel...not sure
