I never knew there was a name for I, but it sounds awesome, and so great that you take your daughter. Love for nature starts early! I love critters, too, even snakes and lizards. A few years ago I picked up six baby black racers (which have a pretty scary camouflage pattern as juveniles as a defensive mechanism) one at a time to get them out of the garage crawl space where they'd hatched. The fella was pretty anxious.

Any favorite spots near-ish to downtown Atlanta?

I've never looked down near Atlanta. I'm about 40 miles north. But I'd imagine Atlanta would be a great location especially around the chattahoochee river.
