Ever thought about getting a tattoo?

I waited until I was 37 to get my first one...mostly out of respect for my maternal grandfather. Now I have 3...and if money was no object, I'd have a whole lot more.

I had wanted one since I was 18, but didn't get my first until I was 32...Then, I wondered what took me so long!

Here's my last one--I now have five, and seem to have the "Itch" for another one:

...I'm gonna' hafta' WAIT to get another one, as I do NOT like "Healing Out" a new Tat in the HEAT of the Summer...BTW, Mr. OP, NICE, well thought-out Article with some good suggestions!... :) ....mikey357

That's nice!

Thanks! I kinda' like it, too... :) ...

That is what I would call brand loyalty!!

as well as some clean line work and shading...

Yeah, I've been "Into" Smith & Wesson Revo's just about 40 years at this point, and they've been in business over 160, so...I thought it was a "Safe" one to get!

It IS a really "Clean" Tat...It was done by Rob Knight at Timeless Tattoo on Cheshire Bridge Road--That's Cap Szumski's shop, BTW--Cap has won lotsa' AWARDS & been featured in all the Tattoo "Rags", but I'm too IMPATIENT to have to make an appointment & WAIT two or three MONTHS to get one, LOL--Rob is probably the best "Journeyman" Tattoo Artist I know, so he'll probably do my NEXT one as well... :) ....mikey357

I've seen Mikey's tattoo in person... it looks bad ass.

I've ALMOST gotten a couple on impulse. But I don't want to do that because I knew a lot of guys growing up who got tats (on impulse) that now they wish they didn't get. I want a tattoo to have some sort of meaning, some link to who I am. I've consulted tattoo artists (including some here) with ideas before just to see if the idea was even feasible. One that I've been debating lately... I'd like to have my "surname" tattooed on my left forearm.

No, never any ink...

Thought about some but nothing in my life is permanent. No matter the day, the time or the family, it can all change in an instant. A flash of light or blink of an eye.

Late to the thread, but I don't have any ink. Never thought about getting one, never wanted one. Don't mind people that do, just not for me.
