Same here. But it doesn't sound like that info will be forthcoming. I'm sure the post on TFB will generate a lot of interest. So maybe they will follow up with a more detailed post mortem.

I hope so. Would make for some interesting reading. Would like to do a comparison also, AR vs AK vs Mini... Or just different barrel manufactures
There are so many variables. Two barrels from the same manufacturer, but with different profiles, would wear differently. And places like Battlefield Vegas are the only ones with enough inventory and usage to really get any comparison. There's a thread on arfcom about the common failures and replacement schedules at BFV. It's a pretty interesting read too.

Not to mention the cost to shoot any rifle at that volume. For a test like this, you are talking roughly 20 to 25,000 dollars in ammo costs alone. I'd be willing to bet that most of us won't shoot 100,000 rounds in our entire lives, much less through the same rifle.
