Experince with Tannerite?

just be careful and dont over do it, like this guy....

A Minnesotan man was fined $2,583 and sentenced to three years' probation on charges of detonating an explosive device and unlawful possession of components for explosives after he detonated 100 lb (45 kg) of Tannerite inside the bed of a dump truck by shooting it with a .50 caliber rifle from 300 yards (270 m) away on January 14, 2008 in Red Wing, Minnesota. The man was on probation when he mixed and shot the Tannerite and was not allowed to possess firearms or explosives. The blast could be felt at Prairie Island Nuclear Power Plant.

Yeah but that guy was already not suppose to be in possession of either. Of course you can't put a legal explosive out there and expect us not to over do it.. Lol

My first experience with tannerite. This was a 2 pound can.

And my second. A 4 pound can.

I had no idea (at the time) that we were too close. That was about 25 yards. Never again. I was a bit peeved at the guy that set it up, not realizing the force. On the other hand, I should have questioned him a bit closer, so I hold myself responsible too.

This stuff is a blast. Literally. We've done watermelons, pumpkins, 5 gallon buckets, ect. 1 lb targets at 100 yards are great. We set up a charge under a 5 gallon bucket on blocks hoping to see the bucket launch into the air. The bucket ended up in lots of little pieces no larger than dime. Pumpkins and watermelons are vaporized. Shooting this stuff brings out the little kid in you. Common sense is mandatory when using Tannerite.
