Explain this to me regarding Milled AKs.

Who says a milled AK reciever is really better? Different, yes. The plan from the start was to make a stamped AK, but it took a while to get it together.
Same thing kinda with a Walther P38 / P1. The plan here from the beginning was to make an aluminum frame.
I am not saying that a milled AK is not better. If the stamped ones are way inferior I would not even consider one.
I am waiting for the America made titanium milled reciever AK !!!

I never said milled was better. My initial question was why are milled receivers so expensive, my second question.was why are US companies not making AKM pattern rifles.

First Question. Milled is expensive because it takes 120 machining operations to make one from a piece of solid rectangular steel .

Second Question. Maybe American companies feel like they can not compete with imports. I wish Ruger would make one.
Are these companies making bolts and carriers?
