Father shoots 17 year old daughters BF in her bed. She told dad she didn't know him.

This thread is bizzare. If you are in my house and I don't know who you are, I don't care if you've got carnations in one hand and cotton candy in the other, if I tell you "don't move" (and there's a REALLY strong chance you are NOT going to get that warning, but) IF I'm for some bizarre reason that calm, and you twitch, you are DRT. I simply can not fathom ever breaking into someone's home. To me it is absolutely crazy, I mean literally crazy. I will therefore assume you are out of your mind and capable of anything. You've proven it by breaking into my home. You are a threat and I will eliminate it.
If my child at 2:00 am comes to me and says says "Daddy, someone I don't know, is in my sister's room" you can bet your last nickle I'm not going in there expecting a late night study session with her BFF. If I see a (young or otherwise aged) man and my daughter is telling me she doesn't know who he is, guess what happens next?

None of us were there but I would think if some one were in her room that was a total stranger trying to rape her or some thing that she would be flipping out and screaming for help. Not waiting till her father came in the room to say I don't know who he is daddy. It is a messed up situation on all parts.

I snuck into a girls room ONCE! Her cat scared me 1/2 to death. She was 18, but I never even considered doing that again.

lol ok dude. let's all pretend he had a gun even though there is no evidence whatsoever to support it. It's not like it would've been in the police report or anything

Nobody ever said he had one, but the father had very real reasonable cause to believe he was armed and he WAS in his daughters room. What would you have done?

lol good grief. A little bit of common sense on the father's part would point him to the fact that she was lying

And if the kid had not moved, the father would have had a chance to find that out, but I can tell you with no doubt that there is NO WAY I would leave my daughter in a situation where she could be at risk of being killed because I think she MIGHT be full of it. How much would this father have been condemned by everyone that is an expert in 20/20 hindsight if he had let his daughter be killed while he was in the room with a gun in his hand?

Exactly. Can't you just hear it? "She was telling him she had no idea who he was and he sat there and kept asking questions of a stranger in his daughter's bedroom at 2:00 until he popped one in her gut. That's guy is a total idiot and his daughter paid the price!"
This will absolutely go down as one of the more bizarre threads... :tsk:
