and a long nap after lunch, wish we could still enjoy those days again, great memories to recall...

Same here! Thanksgiving morning. Waking up to the smell of all the things mom started cooking the night before. We always had the big family gathering at our house, so there was lots of stuff to start cooking in advance.
 
Fresh ground coffee beans at A&P,and mimeograph fluid in grammar school
I grew up in Houston, Texas and lived 3 blocks from the Maxwell House coffee factory where they roasted and ground the coffee beans. You could smell the coffee beans cooking every day. Great Smell.
