Favorite Childhood Smell

I don't know what made the scent, but I'll NEVER forget the smell of a quail field early in the morning November through Febuary. It's really not just a "quail field", but the smell of the fall and winter hunting with my daddy. I can walk through the woods today, and I'm knockin on 60's door, and still see and hear him workin the dogs, with me just waiting on a flush.

A coworker , a female said cutting oil.
So in a conversation today at work one of the ladies (maybe 30ish) said that her Dad retired from our company and that when she was small her Dad would occasionally bring her to the plant on a Saturday and she remembers the smell, of a shop, cutting oil.
She said it brings back wonderful memories.
