FFL Questions

Without a FFL:

You can sell a rifle, shotgun or ammo to any resident of Georgia who's over 18 yrs old as long as they say they are not a felon. Your asking to see their drivers license (or georgia carry permit) is not required and neither is any bill of sale required.

You can sell a handgun to any resident of Georgia who's over 18, but most here on ODT want them to be over 21 due to the carry laws of Georgia being (*generally) over 21 on handguns.

With a FFL: Anyone from out of state. Except handguns, you can still only sell handguns to in state residents. You can also sell ammo/accessories across state lines withOUT an FFL

*members of the military and those specially deputized.

Fixed.

You wouldn't need an FFL but make sure if you are planning on doing this as a business then you get the required permits, licenses, and insurance. It's always better to be safe and have your forms in order then to risk a problem and get caught running a un-licensed business.

Maybe I am misreading.... But I think you can sell any gun out of state (including a handgun) as long as you go through an FFL.

(To the OP, do be careful with selling mags. Some states still have a prohibition on "hi cap" mags. Like New Jersey. Can't sell a normal mag to someone there.)

Just be forewarned that most distributors have very different rules, credit terms, and minimum order limits if you are a non ffl. One good example of this is cmmg. Ffl=no minimum order. No ffl=$20k minimum opening order. That's a lot of of 22 conversions and magazines to sell.
