Picked up my first CZ on a whim today. Got a 75 compact p-01 in 9mm. Caught my eye in the shop while playing with another HK, but I kept coming back to it so I took it home wiped it off loaded a mag and shot it. First impression is mehhh don't know what all the hype is really for not really a big fan of the trigger face after shooting it. Put another mag through it and then I was smiling ear to ear hit bullseye every time. But still couldnt get over the trigger face. So I'm asking all you CZ gurus. Best upgrades to do to them? I really want to love it but feel like it's lacking something. I own a bunch of HK's and SIGs so I'm not unfamiliar with DA/SA guns but am I being unfair in my biased initial comparison? Or can I make it that awesome with a few new parts?

And most folks drop in the 85 combat trigger. It's got a less aggressive curve and an over travel stop.
85 trigger makes a big difference in my opinion. But the best thing to do to the CZ's is shoot the heck out of em. They smooth out fairly quickly (2000ish) and get really really nice after that. But reduced power springs are nice, and once you find a combo of parts you like, they are some of the most fun (IMO) to target shoot with out there

I agree with the shoot the hell out of the thing!
Myself mine fits me to a T and I like the trigger and pretty much everything else.
especially the reliability and accuracy.
they differ, my P-01 got much better at about 400 rounds, MY SP-01 at less than 200 rounds was very good, the 97 took about 5-600 rounds to smooth down.
Cajun offers all kinds of things to spend money on and are great people to work with.
MY only suggestion is that IF this is to be a carry weapon be careful just how light that you go on the trigger as you want to be sure that it lights off a primer (any primer) if you need it in an emergency.
many guys get just to crazy on the trigger weight and have problems with some factory ammo (or reloads) depending on primer type.
MY P-01 is 100% through 2000 plus rounds with a 14 pound main spring ad reduced power firing pin spring.
enjoy.
