The anniversary of my first deer is coming up on 12/27, got it back in 1988. Seems like it was only yesterday and the memory of it is just as clear.
I was with a buddy of mine last weekend for his first deer as well, which was a doe. And then the next day he got his first buck. Had a couple other first deer experiences and you are right that it never gets old. I think I might enjoy that more than shooting one myself these days.
I was there with both my sons on their first. My youngest was actually asleep when the deer came out. Had to wake him up
