Nice Deer! Is it a slug barrel. I know in most areas where its shotgun only it also slugs only. If so what kind? Again very nice deer, wish I'd been there for the field dressing!

No, believe it or not. Smooth bore barrel with a rifled choke tube. I shoot the Winchester rifled slugs. When I was sighting in before the season, I had 3 touching with one flyer at 30 yards.

Now, that is a saying that I haven't heard in a while, it puts a helluva picture in my mind.

My dad shot one about 10 years ago that was like that. He shot her on the run and it ended up hitting right in the beginning of the guts so he gave her time and got our German shepherd and his 44. Chloe found her pretty quick bedded down he shot it almost point blank in the head she hopped up and Chloe took chase and brought her down and another 44 ended it. I was about 8 and my dad cut handholds in the hide and I was hanging and he was grunting to get the hide off. Congrats on your deer she will eat good.
