.44 mag ruger carbine rifle and for pistol it was the smith and wesson 40v...the original..not the 40ve

First gun given to me was a 550-1, first gun I bought was a Remington 74 Sportsman.

Winchester model 67. It was my Dad's first rifle, mine, and my sons. It's about as good as it gets for learning fundamental marksmanship.

My first gun was a bolt action .22, tube feed. My Dad gave it to me in 1956 for my birthday. All of the guns I got while growing up were stolen back in 2002. I got one .410 back by buying it from a pawn shop. Never found any of the other ones. First gun I bought myself was a K98 Mauser for $15. I have replaced most of the stolen guns over time, but the sentimental value isn't in the replacements.
