Did he write it for Loretta? She recorded it in 1970. He recorded it in 1971. Anyway...I never was a Conway fan. My mom is big time. I remember sometime in the 80s when I was in HS some DJ stating that he never wrote a song..guess he was wrong. Not one of those things I sought verification. We didn't have internet back then anyway.

He recorded it at some point in 69 and released it in 70.
It must have been hard growing up just waiting for Al Gore to invent the Internet.
