It's a great shooter, the size of a Red Ryder BB gun but shoots 357mag.

You have to be patient, took 6-months.

The last two coats took 2 months each to dry.

Wow, that's what I call patience! I had no idea a proper refinish took so long.

There's an old saying about Oil Finish: 1 coat a day for a week, 1 coat a week for a month, 1 coat a month for a year, & 1 coat a year for life.
A lot of antique furniture have oil finishes. They can be revived using fresh oil and some 0000 steel wool rubbing with the grain to loosen up embedded dirt and them wipe and let dry.
Same with Mil-Surplus stocks.

Nice job for sure. really looks great.
I really enjoy refinishing stocks, and do quite a few for other people. It's nice to sit back and see the difference that you made in that firearm.
