I agree.Running the numbers, you are pushing less than 500ft/lbs of energy with that setup... You get all the noise and fire and bad parts of the equation, but you don't get much power out of it... A 9mm+P out of a 6" barrel would offer about the same power, but cheaper, lot less noisy, no blinding flash, etc...
Wondering why you didn't go with a different caliber than 5.56 with a 6" barrel... You lose sooooo much velocity that way, and high velocity is what makes that tiny bullet effective to begin with... Plus, if you ever had to use that gun indoors... the flame and noise... you better double up on hearing protection or you will risk permanent hearing loss with every single shot.
If I was to do an AR that short, it would be in 9mm, .45ACP or .300Blk...
It looks cool and all, but I wouldn't want a 5.56 that short... Sorta defeats the purpose, IMHO.
