Glass rods are fun enough to have at least one. Other than that, I’m with you 100%.
Anyone have any recommendations for neoprene waders? Or some sort of serious thermal pants to wear under my regular waders . Freezing my rear end off in the river .
go to minus 33 and get you some good wool long johns. i use those with jogging pants.
never get cold in my breathable waders.
Put on some long johns and pants , then waders. Perfect.
Remember mole skin is your friend..
yes, long johns, sweat pants, waders. been doing this for decades w/o issues.
pick only one of those if your going neo waders. you will sweat otherwise.
then you will think you waders have a leak. lol.
Drake makes a fleece lined wader pant that is awesome. Has stirrups too so they don’t end up at your knees
Don't use cotton for next to the skin. You'll stay warm until you get wet. Then you'll get very cold.
Try synthetic LJ - great because are cuffed. If using sweats, I cut them to a better length, then use bands at the ankles to keep them from bunching.

My long johns are poly pro . They worked great. Had on some nice wool socks . Was toasty, finally.
