Just thought I would take this opportunity to link the best ever most informative post regarding the FN SCAR ever:

I had one, and sold it. It wasn't necessarily because it was a POS, but it just didn't do "it" for me once past the cosmetic cool factor. Being an old soldier, Infantry type one each, I really didn't feel that if I had to carry that as an issue weapon that I could rely on it. It "felt" delicate. Of course, it isn't delicate, but that was just the subjective perception that struck me each time I picked it up.
For the less than subjective opinion, it didn't hold a candle to my LaRue Stealth, or LWRC. The LaRue was a tack driver without trying hard. The LWRC was good, but I had a first gen, and when it was in a bad mood it went into bolt action mode. The SCAR came in last. But again, it is based upon subjective opinion and which one worked best for me. Take it for what it cost ya brother.
The only "keeper" = LaRue. I don't know if its been stated here, but check out the LaRue PredaAR, or the OBR. The Pred is a lighter version of the OBR. TACK DRIVERS, second to none. And cheaper than the SCAR. :-)

I haven't had mine but a few days, but I love it. I have had several AR's and there is no comparison, the SCAR is the way to go IMO. To each his own though.
