I’ve been looking over this FAL, I can’t find the history on this proof mark “PV” on the barrel.

I’m interested in knowing the origin of this barrel. Please spread some knowledge on me

I've done more research and found that the pineapple is a Belgian "nitro proof" mark the receiver looks to be a non-searcut type three. I'm fairly certain now that this rifle is original other than furniture/muzzle device.

Photos are not good for determination of originality. Highly unusual (if not "never seen") for a Steyr import to have a wooden handle. What do the handguards look like? Muzzle device? Buttstock? Can't tell you much from the pics.

The barrel has a Belgian proof which is a good indicator that it's original to the receiver.
