I just stumbled across this... A video for diehard Georgia fans : the UGA mascot sits down and pets the real UGA. I guess the guy in the mascot outfit got board.

I was walking out of the Varsity in Athens one day and I ran into Uga 6 about to come in. They owners were nice folks and stopped to let me meet him. I laughed at the "no pets" sign on the door. They explained that for most places in Athens the signs didn't pertain to Uga. He was the biggest Uga ever at 68 lbs.
Fat Bastard. All of the "UGA" dogs have been line bred into a glop of slobbery lard. They need to turn back the clock and get a real bulldog for a mascot.
Looks to be a young pup, I recall other of the uga dogs being very snappy, wouldn't let any one close that he didn't know.
That snappy UGA attitude was really needed, when he faced-off with Bevo at the Sugar Bowl. Of course BEVO does have a slight weight and reach advantage.
